MrBeast is the biggest individual channel on YouTube and now has amassed over 240 million subscribers on his main channel. He also has hundreds of millions of subscribers on his alternate channels. With such popularity, it is only natural that there is a lot of corporate interest in his channel in the form of sponsorships and rights.

In the same spirit, rumours recently spread on the internet that MrBeast’s channel had been acquired by the entertainment giant Disney for a staggering $5 billion amount. The clip that started this rumour originates from the Iced Coffee Hour podcast, and this article aims to bring out all the facts of this case.

The Iced Coffee Hour podcast is hosted by popular YouTubers Graham Stephan and Jack Selby. The show recently hosted two popular guests, Sam and Colby. The hosts, Graham and Jack decided to play a prank on their guests by telling them some news about MrBeast’s channel.

MrBeast clears the air about the sale of his channel to Disney

Graham Stephen told his guests that MrBeast’s channel had been acquired by Disney for 5 billion dollars. Additionally, Graham claimed that the number had been leaked.

The guests reacted with shock and awe. They asked Graham Stephan if the news was confirmed, who replied affirmatively. Further, Stephan informed them that the company now owned all parts of his channel.

The hosts of the Iced Coffee Hour later revealed to their guests that it was simply a prank. However, this part of the episode was not a part of the clip that went viral on social media. The clip simply comprised Stephan and Selby informing their guests about the supposed purchase.

The rumours started spreading like wildfire, to the point where MrBeast had to clear the air himself. MrBeast replied to a post of the clip confirming that Disney did not own any part of his channel. The X community notes also displayed this information on each post, claiming a relationship between MrBeast and Disney.

MrBeast is currently eyeing the top spot on YouTube and dethroning the Indian giant T-Series. He has been outdoing himself in every new video and is closing down the distance at a very fast rate.
