Former TM Chief Nathan Hubbard Joins Gibson Guitar Board
NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) In a recent bankruptcy court filing, Gibson Brands reported its new board of directors including former Ticketmaster CEO Nathan Hubbard.
Hubbard, who is launching a new ticketing platform to rival TM called, notably, Rival, led the ticketing division at Live Nation, working with its in-house Live Nation Ticketing running off of the CTS Eventim platform, before Live Nation merged with Ticketmaster in 2009. He then led TM until 2013 when he moved to Twitter, leading its efforts to build a mobile commerce platform. His position ended in 2016 and he announced his plans for Rival earlier this year.
Hubbard is also a guitar-playing singer/songwriter.
Ford is part of the private equity firm KKR that now controls Gibson after leveraging its investment in the company’s debt, according to the Nashville Post. Also on the board are former chairman and CEO Hunry Juszkeiwicz, newly named CEO James “JC” Curleigh and KKR reps Matthew Ross and Nathaniel Zilkha, among others.
