The Las Vegas Raiders are into a major transformation. The team has sacked their head coach Josh McDaniels, general manager Dave Ziegler, and offensive coordinator Mick Lombardi. Issuing a notice, the team management thanked them for their service and also wished them luck in their future endeavors.

The sacking of three pivotal figures in the team triggered some controversies. It is well-established now that the team was suffering from multiple odds and not everything was in line. Those problems began with Davante Adams, who was struggling with a lot of things under McDaniels’ leadership.

After the fixture against the Detroit Lions, where the Raiders lost 28-16 marking their fifth loss in eight games this season, the tussle between him and the higher bodies came to light. The WR expressed his frustration after getting only one reception for only 11 yards.

Adams finally opened himself up regarding all the speculations that were hovering around. He was diplomatic; and acknowledged that the team needed a change in the dressing room. However, Adams did not agree with the fact that the team was in a mood of celebration after Daniels was fired. The player added,

It's not a celebration that we have a new coach and that changes were made. One way or the other, it was time for some sort of change just to bring a little juice in and revitalize the team a little bit. I think it's more of a mindset that we're trying to, not force, but just have moving forward to just be as positive as possible.

Despite being diplomatic, he did not prevent himself from mentioning that the coaching change was needed for the team’s sake. Adams believes that this change will do good in the coming time.

Rob Gronkowski thinks Davante Adams reason for Josh McDaniels’ firing

Rob Gronkowski, the former TE, believes that Davante Adams had a role in the sacking of McDaniels. The legendary TE, who is presently enjoying his retirement, is a keen watcher of the game. He often comes up with comments regarding the NFL squads and this time it was no exception. In one of the episodes of the show, ‘Up and Adams,’ Gronk said that Adams might have influenced the decision.

Yeah, you don't want to lose a guy like Davante Adams. I would say he has a pretty good amount of power for being just a player….he's the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL. So, I would say he definitely has some serious pull, there's no doubt about it.

The Raiders are down by 3-5. As things stand right now, it can be said that their dreams for the playoffs are almost over. It is to be seen who becomes the new coach and what he brings to the table.
